REMINDER: NEW FMLA REGULATIONS BECAME EFFECTIVE JANUARY 16, 2009

As we reported in our Winter 2008 newsletter, the U.S. Department of Labor issued new Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) regulations. The regulations are designed primarily to implement leave requirements for military families, but they also address many other aspects of the FMLA. As the regulations recently became effective, employers should consult the summary we provided in our winter 2008 newsletter.
