FEDERAL MINIMUM WAGE INCREASES FOR 2007, 2008, AND 2009

The federal minimum wage will increase from $5.15 per hour to $7.25 per hour over the course of the next 26 months. This is the first increase since 1997. Here is the schedule for these increases:

$5.85/hour effective July 24, 2007

$6.55/hour effective July 24, 2008

$7.25/hour effective July 24, 2009
