Cook Roos Wilbur LLP believes strongly in supporting our community, and does so in a variety of ways. The Firm has provided pro bono legal services to Coyote Point Museum for Environmental Education, a learning center that provides educational experiences to the Bay Area community through wildlife, exhibits, programs and gardens, and to United Way of the Bay Area. The Firm's associates are encouraged to work on pro bono matters, and are given full billable hour credit for their pro bono work. In addition to pro bono legal services, the Firm actively participates in and contributes to a number of organizations. Susie Roos was a long time board member of the Coyote Point Museum. Mike Wilbur previously served on the Human Resources committee for United Way of the Bay Area and he also previously served on the board of United Way of the Bay Area. Gordon Fine serves on the board of governors and is past president of the American Decorative Arts Forum, an affiliate support group for the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco. The Firm has supported the California Minority Counsel Program and the United Negro College Fund. In addition, for the past several years; the Firm has made contributions that enable Bay Area elementary school students to attend programs at the Headlands Institute in appreciation for art work created by students for our annual holiday card. For many years the Firm and one of its founding partners, John Cook, actively supported the Oakland I Have a Dream Foundation. |
